Built-in store analytics on App Store and Google Play is a nightmare. There are alternatives, but they usually cost money. Why pay, when you can vibecode a product that satisfies your needs?
So that’s how POKESTICK was born. Basically, analytics tailored for my current needs, with some functionality that even exceeds it.

The feature list, on the high level:
- Store analytics that gets pulled from App Store and Google Play API
- Ads analytics from Google Ads – basically you get full funnel for the app promotions
- Analysis of the current state (no ML models, simple scenarios) – app shows you insights based on your data

- Events tracking: you can do some experiments and testings and capture their results
- All the basic analytics with charts, tables and drill-downs
- iOS app to get analytics on your phone

- You can integrate your BI tool by establishing connection directly to cloud to analyze your data
- MCP server – get a token and just ask your AI about any store data
- AI Workflows: you can use Pokestick cloud as a harness, by entering your API key (e.g. Openrouter, DeepSeek, OpenAI, Claude…). For example, you can set up running AI workflows by analyzing keywords for your app, and feed these results into the app directly, automating decision making. This is a resource-heavy feature, so it’s not yet used properly.
- Integration with PostHog in-app analytics
- Autonomously analyzing store visibility – charts, keywords, features – for your app.
- …and many more things

What Pokestick doesn’t have:
- Data on other apps collected.
So, I LOVE it so far. If I miss something, I can add it in an hour. But all in all, it closes all the analytical needs that I have or might have, especially considering my small portfolio and scale.

Currently I run it on my own Lightsail instance, it’s quite small, so new users are allowed only by invitations. The product itself is not mature enough, and I’m not sure anybody would need it – so it’s not available anywhere. But in case it proves useful I will publish it as open source. If you want it, let me know at am@smallhall.net.
