Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

Smalllog is developed by Smallhall / Andrey Makeev. Smalllog is designed to keep personal tracking data under your control and to use Apple platform services where appropriate.

Smalllog does not use advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party analytics/advertising SDKs. Smalllog does not require an account and does not operate its own backend server for your personal tracking data.

1. Data you enter in Smalllog

Smalllog lets you record personal metrics and notes, including custom metrics you create yourself.

Depending on the metric, data is stored in one of the following ways:

☁ iCloudGeneral and custom metrics use Apple's private iCloud/CloudKit storage and can sync across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
♥ Apple HealthSupported built-in health metrics use Apple Health when you grant the required permissions.
▣ On this iPhoneIf Apple Health write access is unavailable or denied, new health entries stay on the device and are not uploaded to iCloud by Smalllog.

Smalllog does not infer a custom metric's meaning from its title. A custom metric named, for example, “Weight” remains a normal Smalllog metric unless it was created from the built-in Apple Health-supported template.

2. Apple Health

For supported built-in metrics, Smalllog may request permission to read data from and/or write data to Apple Health.

This can include metrics such as weight, body fat percentage, waist circumference, body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen, blood glucose, sleep, and steps where supported by the app.

Your Apple Health permissions are controlled by you in iOS. Smalllog only requests access to the data types needed for metrics you choose to use.

If you delete a health entry in Smalllog, the app can delete Apple Health samples that were created by Smalllog when Apple permits that operation. Smalllog does not modify or delete health samples created by other apps or devices.

Deleting Smalllog from your iPhone does not automatically delete data already stored in Apple Health. Apple Health data can be managed in Apple's Health app and iOS settings.

3. iCloud

General and custom Smalllog metrics may sync through Apple's private iCloud/CloudKit infrastructure.

Smallhall does not operate a separate server for this data. iCloud availability, synchronization, security, and account access are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Health measurements that Smalllog routes to Apple Health are not duplicated into Smalllog's iCloud storage. Health entries stored locally because Apple Health write access was denied or unavailable also remain local and are not synced through Smalllog's iCloud storage.

4. Speech recognition and microphone

Smalllog can use speech recognition to make recording values faster.

5. Reminders and notifications

If you enable reminders, Smalllog uses iOS notifications to remind you to record metrics. Reminder scheduling is handled through Apple's notification system. Smalllog does not use reminders for advertising or tracking.

6. Backup and export

Smalllog can create a user-initiated backup/export file.

7. Optional tips

Smalllog is free to use. The app may offer optional tips to support development through Apple's In-App Purchase system.

Tips do not unlock features, content, or additional functionality. Payment processing is handled by Apple. Smalllog does not receive or store your payment-card details.

8. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Smalllog does not use advertising networks, behavioral tracking, analytics services, third-party tracking SDKs, or data brokers. Smalllog does not sell your personal data.

9. Deleting your data

You can delete metrics and entries from within Smalllog.

10. Medical disclaimer

Smalllog is a personal tracking tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Smalllog's features or data-handling practices change. The current version will be published on the Smallhall website with an updated revision date.
